The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendment
The 13th amndement abolished all slavery and continues to prohibit it today. It was passed on April 8, 1864. It says in the 13th amendment,"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime
whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United
States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
The 14th amendment said that all people born or raised in Georgia are American citizens. It was ratified on July 9, 1868. The 15th amendment stated that the government can not deny someone their right to vote because of their race. This amendment was ratified on March 30, 1870.
