Complex Sentences
A complex sentence has 1 independent and 1 dependent clause. in independent clause can stand alone and a dependent clause can not. The independent is in red while the dependent stays orange. Complex sentences usually have words like Because, even though, Although and many more to state a complex sentence. But sometimes It is not, sometimes the independent comes first and the Dependent second. For example The students are studying after they are done playing.
1. Because my coffee was too cold, I couldn't drink it.
2. Even though I was late, I still got all my work done.
3. Although I love animals, I am not around them much.
